A
visit begins with the Charles McCool Snyder Education and Visitor
Center. Named for one of the founding members of the museum, the center opened
in 2001. At the Visitor Center, there is an exhibit gallery, auditorium,
Museum Store and archives. The Sheary gallery exhibit introduces Mifflinburg,
the Heiss family and buggy making. The exhibit includes a video, hands-on
workbench, photographs and objects. The museum offers temporary exhibits
in the Degenstein Auditorium.
